The Risk & Credit department is growing and this time we’re looking for someone with a Dutch background. We are expanding our team with another experienced credit/risk analyst. The team consists of people from a wide range of backgrounds, from newly graduated analysts to experienced credit developers and PhDs. Ideally you as applicant will have a relevant academic degree and some experience from consumer credit, from the Dutch market or internationally. As an analyst with a Dutch background you’ll be playing an important role in the current launch of Klarna’s consumer credit products on the Dutch e-commerce market. Key elements of the role will be analysis of current credit risk levels, exploration of new credit strategies, reporting and product development. You will work closely with the other analysts as well as the Chief Analyst, department manager and related departments such as controlling. Although the current position will focus on the Dutch market, there will still be ample opportunities to contribute to the development of credit strategies on the other markets as well. It is important to emphasize that the Risk & Credit department work with both risk balancing and business creation and have a key role in our current European expansion.
Since Klarna is a rapidly growing firm (>100% annually with strong profitability) you are expected to be independent and have strong skills when it comes to managing your own work and prioritizing based on a good understanding of the business model. We expect you to take on more responsibilities quickly and accept more and more managerial duties. For the right person there will be excellent opportunities and career paths as an expert and/or as a manager.
A successful candidate will be close to the following profile:
•Relevant academic degree with good results
•At least 2 years experience of consumer credit /credit risk/scorecards or equivalent
•Structured problem solver with strong analytical skills
•Committed and driven with a strong focus on results
Additional qualities which would be valued in candidates
•Experience from e-commerce or fast small ticket credit products
•Entrepreneurial experiences
•Experience and interest in IT
•Experience within debt-collection or specialist knowledge about credit score modeling
