Job Description : RDA CBA System Design Engineer

The RDA unit within PDU Evolved Infrastructure aims to provide reusable reference configurations in which a large number of CBA Components are combined. The system design work necessary to create and deliver these reference configurations involves a large amount of prototyping ? building systems by assembled and configuring the various available components, plus significantly complex IP network design (for the node-internal networks).

The CBA Components assembled in the "RDAs" are on the leading edge of Ericsson´s infrastructure development and are based on state-of-the-art technologies, including a significant amount of open-source software.

Responsibilities

You will work as an RDA CBA System Design Engineer, and will design, prototype, test, and document system configurations based on assembly of Ericsson?s CBA Components, including IP switches, routers, load balancers, blade-based servers, embedded Linux, SAF based middleware, J2EE application servers, and much much more.

You will troubleshoot faults or problems, and work together with the Component suppliers within the company to establish the root cause, and will also be expected to work on troubleshooting similar problems occurring at customers.

You will do your work in a mature Scrum team.

Qualifications:

Requirements

-Master's degree in Engineering or similar work related experience competence
-Self-motivated with drive and initiative
-Strong analytical skills
-System Integration experience
-IP switching and routing (L2 & L3) competences and experience
-Working & configuring Linux
-Team player, working for the team success without personal prestige
-Outgoing and willing to cooperate also across organizational boundaries
-Knowledge of object oriented programming in Java is an advantage
-Excellent level of written English and good level of spoken English
