Group Function Legal Affairs, Trade Compliance

The Legal Counsel shall achieve and maintain a very high level of competence within the field of customs, export control, sanction and other law relevant to international trade and shall contribute to that the purpose and objectives of the Ericsson Group and Group Function Legal Affairs are fulfilled in the area of trade compliance.

The role as Legal Counsel at Group Trade Compliance requires proven integrity and recognized experience, skills and competence, good business understanding and awareness, and ability to support and work with Group Function Legal Affairs, other Group Functions, Regions and Business Units for legal matters in the area of international trade.

The Legal Counsel will report to the Head of Group Trade Compliance within GF Legal Affairs and will be based in Stockholm.


Job Description

- Ensure that corporate trade compliance policies, directives and instructions are relevant, reflect the legislation and support the Ericsson group in the best way
- Monitor and follow up on relevant new or changed legislation
- Engage with regulators to learn about and if necessary influence coming legislation
- Support other units within Group Function Legal Affairs with trade compliance expertise
- Support Group Functions, Regions and Business Units with trade compliance expertise
- In concert with business responsible staff, review and develop business models and ways of conducting business with the aim to increase efficiency and quality and to facilitate for the client to achieve its business goals
- Work proactively by providing working tools, training, etc., to improve the general legal awareness


Qualifications

- Master of Law
- Fluent in English
- At least five years working experience as a lawyer in the area of international trade in particular with export control and sanctions
- Good business understanding
- Ability to independently handle and managing legal matters
- International experience and cultural awareness

As a person you have good networking ability and social skills including the ability to handle internal and external contacts, for example Government authorities and regulators. You are a driven team player who initiates and drives changes, have a high level of Integrity and a great ability to make the right prioritizations.
