This fall ISSR will need a school counselor for students ranging from 5-19 years of age. The position will be 80%. The counselor will be a part of the student care team and will work together with teachers and administrators to monitor the social/emotional needs of the ISSR student body. A key component of the position is to participate in a team which actively works to create a learning environment where all students are given the opportunity to reach their academic goals and develop socially and emotionally. School counselors accomplish their goals through cooperation and collaboration with others inside and outside of the organization.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
This fall ISSR will need a school counselor for students ranging from 5-19 years of age. The position will be 80%. The counselor will be a part of the student care team and will work together with teachers and administrators to monitor the social/emotional needs of the ISSR student body. School counselors accomplish their goals through cooperation and collaboration with others inside and outside of the organization.

KVALIFIKATIONER
•Working preventatively in collaboration with the student health care team and the mentors
•Working with students with acute needs
•Conducting professional conversations with individual students and their families
•Participating actively in the student health care team
•Participating in class and transitional planning conferences
•Participating in establishing, implementing and revising intervention plans
•Collaborating with community resources (social services, psychiatric services, law enforcement, young health care centers, etc.)
A qualified candidate will:
•Hold a university degree in social work with certification from Sweden or a native English speaking country validated by UHR
•Be fluent in Swedish and English (speaking and writing mandatory), SAS 3 or TISUS required for consideration.
•Have international and/or IB work experience
•Be highly competent with IT (Windows platform, Smartboard, HTML, and other tools for learning).


Löneform: Månadslön. Månadslön
Monthly salary

Anställningsform: Tidsbegränsad anställning.
Arbetstid: Dagtid. Måndag till fredag
Monday to Friday
