Aerotaxy - Lead Design Engineer

Sol Voltaics improves the efficiency of energy capture, generation and storage using miniscule amounts of nanomaterials. We are a small but fast-growing company developing a high volume production technology called Aerotaxy. Our nanowire solar cell technology improves efficiency of solar cells, contributing to a sustainable energy world.

What will you do?

As the Lead Design Engineer in the Aerotaxy group, your task will be to create and manage the design and realization process for the next generation Aerotaxy production tool. You will be a senior member of a cross functional team responsible for producing design concepts, layouts, assemblies and detailed drawings. You will liaise with management to organize resources, third-party contractors or consultants, build and develop relationships with a supplier network and workshops vital to the success of the project.

Who are we looking for?

You are an innovative design engineer who has experience managing a supplier network. Your prior experience will be from working with an equipment maker specializing in vacuum or semiconductor tools that utilize thermally driven reactive gas processes. Preferably you hold a Master's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field with 7+ year of work experience from industry. You will be proficient in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) creating design specifications, fabrication drawing, BOMs, etc. Ideally you will have experience designing parts for to be fabricated from materials including Inconel alloys and ceramics such as Alumina and Zirconia.

You speak and write fluently in English

You are self-motivated driver who likes to take ownership and can be relied on to see projects delivered on time. You are excited about being part of a high energy start-up and are prepared to help out with tasks that lie outside of your usual responsibility area when needed. The day-to-day work is in Lund, Sweden, but the position may require some travel.
