FPC is seeking one or more Analog ASIC Design Engineers to strengthen our team in developing future fingerprint systems for mobile phones and other portable devices. The fingerprint sensor is based on a mixed-mode design in a standard CMOS process.

FPC is a leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the whole system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packaging, to algorithms and software for fingerprint recognition and applications on the target devices.

The role

The position of Analog ASIC Design Engineer includes working in close cooperation with colleagues developing future sensor systems to meet future demands for fingerprint systems. In FPC you will be able to work with projects from idea to proven silicon in a dynamic environment. You will be involved in the system design, modelling, schematic design, layout, verification, and silicon verification.

We are seeking for both senior and junior candidates for the positions.

 You will be given opportunities to affect the work and the final product by your own ideas. You are also most likely to use your drive and commitment to implement your ideas together with your colleagues.

The work location is Linköping or Gothenburg as agreed between FPC and the candidate.

 International travel to FPC suppliers, partners, and customers may occur.

 Your background

This role requires at least a Master of Science in Engineering, such as in electronics, physics, computer science or the equivalent, you can be newly graduated as well as if you have several years of occupational experience of similar fields to apply for this position.

You need to be fluent in spoken and written English and not opposed to traveling abroad.

 Success in this role requires:

• Knowledge and experience of analog circuit design and verification of circuit such as CMOS sensors, ADC, DACs, oscillators, and bandgap references.
• Knowledge in Cadence and Mentor ASIC design tools such as Virtuoso platform, QRC, LVS and DRC.
• Knowledge of spice circuit simulation and spice level verification of commonly used analog building blocks.


 

Preference will be given to those with experience in at least some of the following areas, please name the areas in which you have experience/knowledge in your application:

• ESD
• In depth understanding of chip top level layout
• Mixed-signal simulation
• Matlab
• MMSIM
• Verilog
• Vhdl
• VerilogA/verilogAMS
• Skill programming
• ASIC Technology knowledge
• Design for test


 You also have essential qualities such as being ambitious, motivated and flexible. You need to be comfortable working in a growing company, where you will be expected to assume considerable personal responsibility for your own activities and the company’s success. This also requires you to be a team player who contributes to an open and positive atmosphere in the workplace.
