Analytical development at RISE surface, process and formulation is expanding. Do you have a degree in analytical or organic chemistry? Are you familiar with techniques such as LC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, NMR and have experience in method qualification and method validation? This is a chance for you to lead and perform research and development efforts in various types of advanced chemical/pharmaceutical projects. You will be part of an experienced team where you will apply your knowledge and experience together with dedicated colleagues to drive projects forward. The position is based in Södertälje, planned start date is as soon as possible.


Job description

As analytical chemist, you are responsible for providing our projects with important analytical data and interpretation to support both development and manufacturing projects. We have a rich and varied project portfolio which also includes some routine work. Typical tasks include quality testing of raw materials, intermediates, and products and development of appropriate methods to support the development of the chemical synthesis of various products. You may also perform analytical investigations to e.g. to clarify product distribution in complex matrices. Thorough documentation of methods and results as well as reporting of analytical investigations is also an integral part of your job. As a member of our project teams you will be working closely with our chemists and engineers.

Our core business is the design and development of chemical and pharmaceutical processes (many of which are GMP processes) from starting materials to finished product.


Qualifications

The right candidate has an academic degree in analytical or organic chemistry, or another relevant chemical science area and preferably experience from industrial research and development. You are experienced in several analytical techniques, e.g. LC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, NMR covering method development, method qualification and method validation. You have documented experience and enjoy working hands-on in the laboratory contributing with advanced analytical chemistry problem solving in chemical and pharmaceutical development projects. You must speak and write English fluently. A good command of Swedish is a clear advantage.
