The Application Development competency area within Sandvik Coromant's Product Management and R&D has as its primary responsibility supporting application development processes with component solutions including processing methods and related product solutions. The department works in the industrial field of new materials and follows the market for new machine concepts, working closely with customers and external research centers. The work is carried out in close cooperation with product development, prototype construction, testing and production.

Key performance areas
As an Application Development Engineer/Designer at Coromant, we will give you the opportunity to work and develop as part of a team of competent specialists and state-of-the-art, purpose built equipment.

Your primary responsibilities include to:
- Produce product proposals designed to support the development of component/feature solutions.
- Ensure construction with preparation and product documentation throughout the process
- Be responsible for the sharing and documentation of solutions with other parts of the organization
- Take part in projects for application development

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or documented work experience in the operational area. Design experience is required, and shop floor work experience is advantageous. Experience from a variety of production areas (Turning, Milling, Drilling and Holding) is valued as well. Experience with NX CAD/CAM is a prerequisite. Good skills in English, both written and verbal, are also required.

As a person you are thorough and quality conscious, with a structured working style. As the position involves frequent contacts with customers, colleagues and others in the organization, it is important that you have good cooperative skill and are able to create a network. Additionally, you work independently and gladly take the initiative.
