Assignment description

This is a long assignment at a big international company in Olofström that will start soon as possible. Here you will be working on daily basis in an operational team managing applications in runtime. The team operate about 40 different applications on different platforms. Today, this team works only with application management and no infrastructure.

 While the Infrastructure Operation service provides the hardware, facilities and manpower to operate all necessary components, the Application Operation Management service covers the know-how to manage the runtime architecture requirements of the application, and to manage the application in this environment. These tasks can range from defining the runtime requirements in an early stage, to acting on alerts and events when the application runs in the environment. Application Operation Management is the "glue" that holds the operation of Infrastructure components together, by understanding the business requirements on the application.

 Required Competence

Experience within different platform/OS. Windows, Unix, Linux, Mainframe. Experience in Citrix and Web. Experience from development frameworks like .Net, JAVA, GENOVA but also Mainframe related components. Experience from databases SQL and Oracle and DB2. Experience from managing wireless devicesBase knowledge in LAN/WAN. Experience from transaction/messeging handling like MQ. Experience from job scheduling. Experience within integration technics. As a person you need to be flexible, handle stress, prioritize and be a good teamplayer. You need to be fluent in English and Swedish.
