Application Software Architect

Are you an experienced software architect with many years within application development? Are you interested in working in a global manufacturing industry environment? Volvo IT needs to strengthen the team of Application Software Architects with focus on industrial IT solutions within Volvo. We develop global applications that are used at many different factories throughout Volvo. Our solutions are highly integrated with the shop-floor in the factory as well as with the industrial workers day to day activities. You will work as an Application Software Architect participating in one or more teams during the project lifecycle. As an Application Software Architect you are responsible for requirements understanding and embody that requirements understanding in the architecture specification. You are expected to help and lead the developers in the project and also be one step ahead when it comes to designing the final solution. To your help you will have fellow architects as well as Volvos reference architecture to guide you. You will work in a Windows environment and design solutions using Microsoft .Net. The job involves both international and external contacts and a certain amount of travel as well as support. Qualifications * University degree * Good knowledge in the software architecture domain (e.g. development process frameworks, architecture description languages etc.) * A strong application development background in .Net * Good understanding of domain driven design (DDD) * Good understanding of test driven development (TDD) * Deep knowledge of software design * Good understanding of Configuration Management * Good understanding of System Requirements Analysis * Experience in deployment and delivery * Excellent command of written and spoken Swedish and English
