What’s in it for you?

Within Manufacturing Engineering we have a team that develops the future manufacturing processes for our future EV cars. Our purpose is to develop and secure the best available techniques, develop the new manufacturing processes, develop standards and work in close collaboration with our colleagues at R&D. Strategic work, cost estimations, and manufacturability analysis of casted components is a major part of our daily work. In some cases, we also setup learning sessions. We work closely together with all our customers, such as R&D, manufacturing shops worldwide and procurement.

The work location for the position is in Gothenburg.



What you´ll do

As the Area Leader Central Foundry you will lead our engineering team in the early phases of high pressure die casting process development, equipment commissioning and identify manufacturing risks associated with our proposed designs and procedures.

You will lead design and equipment integration between in house tools and external supplier equipment and lead RFQ-process towards contractors. You will develop manufacturing processes and manage die suppliers using Project Management best practices during die build programs, keeping project within time and budget. You will also lead the subassembly and system level manufacturing line processes, oversee the design and assembly of tools, fixtures and automated assembly equipment.



Do you fit the profile?

We believe that you have a BS or MS Degree in Mechanical, Materials Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Exceptional understanding of the interactions between the high pressure die casting process conditions (e.g. die temperature, die & tip lube application, shot profile, etc.) influence the metallurgical and structural integrity of cast aluminum components. You have 5+ years of experience in high pressure aluminum die casting process design, manufacturing engineering, equipment commissioning, robot programming and control systems design.



As a person we believe you are team oriented and drives changes and implementation. You are curious for new and improved solutions and are not afraid to challenge existing ideas and ways of working. You have a positive attitude and create good and long term relationships and are driven to be able to take the lead if needed to move forward. We also think that you are a structured person who plans and has documentation skills. Self-driven, result oriented, flexible and positive attitude.
