FPC seeks one ASIC Customer support project manager within the ASIC System Integration and Verification team to help us in developing future fingerprint systems for smartphones and other mobile devices. The sensor design is a mixed-mode design in a standard CMOS process. FPC is a global leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the entire system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packaging, to the algorithms and software for fingerprint including the recognition, and applications on the target devices.

 

The Role

In the role as ASIC Customer Support Project manager you will work with the responsibility to organize and handle the ASIC team’s customer support issues. You will be the point of contact for ASIC support issues, both internally and towards our customers, working closely with the customer support engineers to ensure that we can deliver in accordance with our commitments. It’s very important to have a service minded attitude, keeping our customers satisfied by being clear about time plans while continuously keeping them updated and keep our customers updated about the progress throughout the work. This position is not only limited to customer support and you will also assist the team manager and support other projects in the team.

This position presents an opportunity to take the next step in your career. It will involve a mix of communication with customers and inside the FPC organization. You will also have possibility to learn and progress your technical skills. For the position, it’s important that you enjoy to drive projects from start to satisfied customer. You find it easy to prioritize and enjoy leading projects within the ASIC System and Verification team.

You are enthusiastic and driven, with a commitment to see your ideas through to successful implementation as a part of a collaborative cross-functional team. The work needs you to be flexible as new priorities may occur in short time of notice.

The work location will be preferred in Gothenburg as agreed between FPC and the candidate. International travel to FPC suppliers, partners, and customers is a natural part of the job.

 

Your Background

This role requires a master degree, preferably within Electronics. You can communicate fluently in English, written and spoken, preferred also in Chinese but not required. Also have the possibility to travel if necessary.

 Success in this role requires:

• Experience as project manager for customer support and failure analysis in an international environment to semiconductor products, preferably from the mobile device industry
• Great interest and good understanding of ASIC analog and digital design, embedded hardware and software, production and quality
• Desirable knowledge:


• Good sense for prioritizing and well organized
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with experience in interacting with customers 


You also have essential qualities such as being ambitious, motivated and flexible. You need to be comfortable working in a growing company, where you will be expected to take on considerable personal responsibility for your own activities and the company’s success. This also requires you to be a team player who contributes to an open and positive atmosphere in the workplace. We think that you need to be social, driven and open to have a transparent communication in a cross-functional cooperation.
