FPC seeks two ASIC Test and Verification Engineers to help us in developing future fingerprint systems for smartphones and other mobile devices. The sensor design is a mixed-mode design in a standard CMOS process. FPC is a global leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the entire system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packaging, to the algorithms and software for fingerprint including the recognition, and applications on the target devices.

The Role

In this role you will be focusing on the electrical validation of the sensor, more specifically running verification tests to ensure that our sensors fulfill the specification requirements. You might also assist in sensor troubleshooting, customer support and general lab tasks. You will be working in a small project team, were each team member has their specific responsibility areas with strict time deadlines. This position requires that you are driven, focused and able to deliver on time even under pressure.

The work needs you to be flexible, as new priorities may occur in short time of notice. If you enjoy hands-on measurement and quality work together with creativity and flexibility this might be the position for you.

We are looking for candidates for these positions in Linköping.

Your Background

This role requires a technical education, preferably in Electronics, or proven working experience with verification and test. Your own interest in electronics and your drive to learn new things are important. Practical electronic know-how is required.

You can communicate fluently in English, written and spoken, and have the possibility to travel if necessary.

Success in this role requires:

• Electrical verification and test experience
• Knowledge in electronics
• Electrical measurements (hands on experience)
• Good communication skills
• Comfortable with working towards strict time deadlines even under pressure.


Desirable knowledge:

• Knowledge and experience in soldering
• Knowledge or programming experience in LabVIEW
• Electrical failure analysis
• ASIC validation
• Sensor validation


 You also have essential qualities such as being ambitious, motivated and flexible. You need to be comfortable working in a growing company, where you will be expected to assume considerable personal responsibility for your own activities and the company’s success. This also requires you to be a team player who contributes to an open and positive atmosphere in the workplace.
