Assistant Controller EMEA

This position is a 2 year assignment with the purpose of leading the development of standardized financial processes and systems across all Wayne Europe DRUs, imbedding sustainable internal controls in our core processes so controls are effective and matter of course, to strengthen the knwledge base of the European team in financial accounting and reporting under U.S. GAAP, and to foster the development of capabilities that will enable transition to a EMEA Finance shared service centre. Qualification Requirements: -Qualified Accountant with at least 10 years post qualifying experience. -Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and Sarbanes Oxley requirements. -Solid background in financial ERP and consolidation systems, Oracle and Hyperion preferred. -Good interpersonal skills, ability to work across complex organizational structure and drive results through influence. Position Responsibilities: -Subject matter expert for the Region in Financial Reporting, U.S. GAAP, and Dresser Accounting Policies -Driving standardization of accounting, chart of account definition and usage, methodology, etc. -Support development and implementation of simplified internal commerce methodology. -Coaching of DRU Controller's to complete accurately and timely Quarterly binders. -Review of all Quarterly binder's in EMEA -To ensure "clean" Balance Sheet's at all DRU's by 31/12/10, by systematic review of all accounts and in particular review of all top-side entries to verify validity of amounts held, and to ensure local DRU Controller's understand these entries. -To explore and promote potential for shared services within Finance -initially by simplifying and standardizing processes and financial systems. -Lead the Oracle implementation in Malmo for Finance. -Any other adhoc duties or project work to support the region.
