We are looking for an Assistant Professor in Commercial Law

We offer you a stimulating workplace where you will be a vital contributor to education activities, research, and service to JIBS. At JIBS we work in an international environment and maintain both national and international networks.

Teaching in law is performed in English and Swedish and is distributed over the academic year. Besides teaching, the holder of the position is encouraged to connect their present or aspired research orientation within JIBS focus areas (please read about the ongoing research in our centres on JIBS website).

All assistant professors at JIBS are expected to do research, apply for externally funded research grants, as well as be engaged with business and society at large, to improve JIBS footprint in the broader society.

 

Your profile
We are looking for candidates with experience of both teaching and research in different areas of commercial law including for example marketing law, intellectual property law, IT law, company law, credit security law and/or tax law. The law unit at JIBS cater for teaching in business law across the university and you should therefore be able to teach in several areas of commercial law at least at a basic level.

The selection process will place great value on applicants’ suitability for the position and JIBS, including flexibility; communication skills; quality awareness and ability to collaborate and build relationships both with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.  

Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement.

The successful applicants will have the opportunity to develop and lead in education and research and contribute to a dynamic academic environment. Administrative skills and the ability to relate to other cultures are also considered.

It is meritorious if you are fluent in written and spoken Swedish.

The position is permanent and full-time. Starting June 1th, 2022 or according to agreement
