Scientific Services, comprised within Facilities Management department, deliver support by LEAN principles to all laboratory and manufacturing facilities in Gothenburg within three key areas: Equipment Support, Lab Support and Dispatch Point.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director for Maintenance & Calibration to join our team.

What you'll do

Your main responsibility will be to develop, manage and maintain our technical support to our lab-based researchers. You will get the opportunity to develop your project management and governance excellence skills in an exciting and technically complex area where equipment support to our Early and Late R&D laboratories is performed by our contracted service provider. It is vital to be pro-active and creative in this position, adding new value by ensuring the team deliver the best possible services with the right priorities according to our customer´s needs.

You will govern and manage our scientific service support mainly towards the Pharmaceutical Technology & Development (PT&D) and Pharmaceutical Science (PS) functions and developing good working relationships across multiple customer levels. You will develop and improve current ways of tracking and reporting progress of our service delivery to customers. The role holder is responsible to provide tactical framework for the supplier(s), develop and steer operational delivery to set targets.

We will rely on you to:

Lead tactical forums and provide information to strategic governance meetings.

Proactively govern and monitor performance of a customer area and represent Scientific Services in governance forums at an operational and tactical level.

Develop a good working relationship with different levels of Customers within the functions and be the escalation point for them.
*

Create partnership with our contracted service providers to deliver the best possible services and ensuring that they have the right priorities, following our customer's needs.
*

Be accountable for budget.
*

Create business insight to drive service development and capability build.

Essential for the role

We believe that you have a broad experience from the pharmaceutical business, preferable with a lab equipment technical background. This is combined with knowledge in project and budget management. Your interpersonal skills are of great importance in this role in order to be the accelerator of our service delivery. Your service delivery attitude and a phenomenal ability to both challenge and manage multiple stakeholders of different levels are essential. You love interactions and are truly passionate about understanding your customers' views and needs.
