Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Utilities Engineer to join our stellar team.

To deliver on Northvolt’s vision and bold expansion plans we have established the Blueprint team. The team’s mission is to deliver a digital factory blueprint of a scalable, rapidly deployable, highly efficient world-class battery factory. It constitutes a comprehensive solution with guidelines and tools needed for establishment of the factory spanning process, equipment, materials, facility, utilities, and people.
To summarize, Blueprint is a highly strategic but also execution-oriented and cross-functional team which aids Northvolt in our mission to enable the future of energy.
Key responsibilities
Overall areas of responsibility and activities
· Validating the utility requirements (power, cooling, heating, gases, chemicals, water, etc.) of the process equipment systems.
· Working with R&D engineers at Northvolt, suppliers, and engineering companies from all around the world to coordinate utility requirements.
· Integration of the utilities requirements into a holistic factory design level.
· Developing and maintaining models for material & energy balance, BFD, PFD, etc.; in a process and factory level, to validate and challenge utility needs.
· Validation of our utility requirements using measured data from our existing factories.
· Developing and maintaining data-driven methods and automated tools to automate the processes for managing the data


Requirements
Education or other qualifications or competences relevant in order to succeed in the job



Qualifications/education/experience
· Bachelors or masters in process, chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
· Experience in the design/engineering of industrial, manufacturing, or chemical process facilities.
· Exposure to Construction, Supply Base Management, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing
· Valuable experience in multicultural environment
· Fluency in English
Bonus points for:
· Proficient in MS Suite.
· Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD…) is preferred but not required.
· Fluency in other languages (Swedish, German).
· Experience in multi-cultural environments.
· Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines.
