We are looking for an Associate Scientist with practical experience in various research methods, protocols, procedures and techniques within the field of life science. Pelago Bioscience is a company located in Solna which today has approximately 50 employees. We deliver in situ target engagement studies to accelerate preclinical drug discovery and development to a world-wide customer base. We work with a mission to unleash drug discovery for better human health and focus on value in our partnerships. Pelago Bioscience is looking to grow its laboratory support unit and has an open position at the Associate Scientist level. The role is offered as a permanent position (after a 6-month trial period) with a competitive salary and benefits program.
About the role:
Being an Associate Scientist in the laboratory support unit at Pelago means that you will have the
following responsibilities:
Your background:
Assisting scientists to plan, execute, analyze and report project work
Working with SOPs and reporting with ELN
Supporting laboratory operations’ project pipelines
Supporting the cell facility in general maintenance of the facility and
cell culture
Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and
environmental practices
Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as needed

An Associate Scientist role could suit a recent graduate in the Biochemistry/Biology field at the MSc level or someone with commensurate laboratory experience. Experience in drug discovery, lab operations and tissue culture are a considerable advantage for this role, but full training will be provided. As a person, you work well independently and as part of a dynamic team. You can multitask and work effectively on several projects simultaneously. You are flexible, keen on relationships with colleagues and can communicate well in written and spoken English.
