The Decision Support & Analysis team provides finance business partnering support to Science Unit functions. The Sr. Finance Analyst position provides Finance Business Partnering support to a number of critical early stage Clinical Project Teams who are responsible for executing phase 1 and phase 2 development programmes & preparing robust plans to support future investment decisions.

Quality financial and business input to individual investment decisions, challenge key forecasting assumptions and deliver expert financial analysis of performance, key risks and sensitivities to enable teams to make effective business decisions.
• To support key business & investment decisions
• Ability to manage customer requirements, analysing issues, developing options and enabling decision making based on strategic business needs
• Working proactively with the business to understand future financial information needs and producing efficient solutions

Major Responsibilities
• Negotiating and communicating effectively across teams and business units and with external parties To drive financial performance and business activity, to deliver and communicate performance and business planning reports, and to advise senior management on key drivers
• Having joint accountability with the business for the accuracy of forecasts and, using a good understanding of the business model and financial drivers, to challenge and influence the key cost drivers.
• Developing reliable operational and financial forecasts ensuring resources are allocated to maximise value creation
• Leading the financial planning cycle in area of accountability; setting performance targets and incentives, aligned to strategy and operational plans
• Highlighting sensitivities & risks and delivering timely, accurate and granular reporting and commentary of [global] performance, linking business drivers to actual spend and forecast


Vem är du?

Minimum Requirements
• Several years experience from finance function (min 5 years), preferably from a large international company
• Experience from final accounts, forecast and budget
• Experience from supporting project management

Preferred Background
• Experience of clinical and pharmaceutical drug development. Good written and verbal communication skills, collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Proven excellent ability to build and maintain cross functional working relationships
