Role Summary/Purpose:

Our Lifecycle Engineering team is searching for an Automation Engineer to join their 20-person team working toward execution of product lifecycle engineering and the support of new and existing products. As Automation Eng, you will be responsible for implementation of control systems and HMI/PLC/SCADA programming on Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical products/projects. Perfect for an ambitious El Eng that possesses a strong understanding of PLC programming, SW and/or industrial control systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

Designing at least one of the following: HMI/SCADA/PLC, control panel hardware.
Developing, optimizing, and maintaining innovative designs for automation systems.
Engaging in all phases of product development and sustaining, including concept, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing and service support.
Execution of design, development, and documentation of ECR/ECOs for existing Bioprocess hardware products
Delivery of technical reports, both written and verbal, to project/product owners. Design and documentation of test plans & outcomes
Participate in technical reviews and collaborative technical forums
Plan for and maintain required test equipment and laboratory resources

Qualifications/Requirements:

BSc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Some years engineering experience in a related field
Demonstrated hands-on experience in any of the following: HMI/SCADA ? Wonderware, DeltaV; PLC ? Allen Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens; Automation hardware design including design for EMC
Experience in developing, supporting and troubleshooting PLC programs and software.
Strong documentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
Works well with teams and across global environments
Strong interpersonal skills
Established work authorization for employment in Sweden
Competent in Swedish and English languages (written and verbal)
Willing to travel internationally to support design, supplier, customer, service activities

Desired Characteristics:

Higher education including Masters or PhD
Demonstrated technical leadership capability
Self-starter, results oriented with ability to multi-task
Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, and delivery targets
Experience in regulated industries (GMP, GAMP)
Experience excelling in global and cross-site projects
Knowledge of MD/EMC/LVD/UL/IEC (e.g. UL 508A, EN 60204-1) regulations/standards and how they apply to design
Knowledge of WEEE/RoHS regulation requirements
Working knowledge of development tools such as PDM, AutoCAD Electrical, etc.
