Automation Engineer

Sydvaranger Gruve AS was formed in 2007 for the
purpose of refurbishing idled mining assets and re-establishing mining and mineral processing operations to produce a high quality magnetite iron ore concentrate at its facilities near Kirkenes in northern Norway.

Sydvaranger Gruve AS is the wholly owned Norwegian subsidiary of Northern Iron Ltd, a public company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange which has the Tschudi Shipping Group as its majority shareholder

Pr June 2010 approximately 320 are employed in the company. In addition, contractor expertise and competence.

Brief Job Description:
. Ensure the responsibility for operation and maintenance of automation facilities at the company

. Must be able to work under pressure and in stressful situations
. Meet the requirements for having an orderly mind and being able to take care of the documentation requirements the position at any time has
. Being willing to develop within the job by increasing knowledge related to the qualification requirements for equipment, and other professional requirements relevant for the position

Educational Qualification:
. Degree in Engineering - Automation

Work Experience and Skills required:
. Expertise and experience with distributed steering and control- and other control systems
. High expertise in programming and the analysis of control and control systems
. Good knowledge and standards and norms within the field
. Must have good networking and computer skills (PC-based Scada systems)
. Benefit of experience from industry-related production
. It is preferable that those who are searching for the position in addition have certificates beyond the requirements relevant to the position
. Expertise and experience in the use of computational tools
. Must have excellent Norwegian/Swedish or English language skills.
