Automation Engineer

Role Summary/Purpose
We are looking for an Automation engineer responsible for designing electrical hardware and/or software for industrial control systems. Our team of 15 people is developing products, bioreactors, mixers and other related equipment, used for manufacturing of biological medical products. The position is permanent.

Essential Responsibilities

Designing at least one of the following: HMI/SCADA, PLC, control panel hardware
Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, serviceability, cost and manufacturability
Engaging in all phases of product development, including concept, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
Identifying and developing new opportunities to leverage Strategic Sourcing objectives and Common Technology initiatives in the Bioprocess product line
Ensuring reliability, performance and delivery through supplier relationships

Qualifications/Requirements

BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Some years engineering experience in a related field
Demonstrated hands-on experience in any of the following: HMI/SCADA - Wonderware, DeltaV; PLC - Allen Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens; Automation hardware design, including design for EMC
Experience at developing, supporting and troubleshooting programmable logic controller programs and software
English and Swedish (written and spoken)
Willing to travel internationally to support design activities at global design centers, global suppliers, customer facing activities, service support and product installations

Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets
Effective oral and written communication skills
Experience with regulated industries (GMP, GAMP)
Global project experience
Knowledge of MD/EMC/LVD/ UL/IEC (e.g., UL 508A, EN 60204-1) regulations/standards and how they apply to designs
Knowledge of WEEE/RoHS regulation requirements
Working knowledge of GEHC tools and processes Magic (PDM), AutoCAD Electrical, Phase Review Discipline (PRD)
