Job description
Munters is currently seeking an experienced automation engineer to strengthen the R&D and the Control System and Components department. Within the team, there is a close collaboration between the automation engineers and the embedded software developers.

As an automation engineer, your primary focus will be on development, structuring and programming, including program development in control units and PLCs. The role also involves test and verification, support, commissioning units, troubleshooting and collaboration with other functions within Munters.

Examples of tasks include:
• Development of new and existing applications and products
• Program development and equipment development for production
• Building prototypes
• Documentation of how the control systems operate
• Write manuals
• Commissioning of equipment

The company's products are sometimes tailored solutions for customers. Your ability to understand how different components and parts can affect each other and interact to ensure product functionality is important in this role.

The position is located at Munters' headquarters in Kista, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement. Travel may be required for this position.

Your profile
For this role, we are looking for a person who has the ability to independently make progress in your own work but also values close collaboration with colleagues. You are curious and enjoy coming up with suggestions for new solutions and have great social skills.

To succeed in the role of an automation engineer, we expect you to have:
• A master or bachelor in a relevant field, or other relevant education
• Several years of solid experience in similar roles
• Competence in PLC programming
• Documented practical experience by commissioning units

You should also have experience in electrical design, testing, and verification. Furthermore, experience with VFD, HMI, communication protocols is desirable for this position. Knowledge of Eplan, electrical design, and electrical schematics is a plus.

Fluent in English, both spoken and written, is essential for this role, and knowledge of Swedish is meritorious but not a requirement.
