IKEA of Sweden has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA retail channels with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Each year IKEA of Sweden introduces 2,000 new products in the 460 IKEA stores and other multichannel touch points around the world. The total range is almost 10,000 products. So what happens in Älmhult definitely doesn't stay in Älmhult. It reaches practically every corner of the globe.

Business Area Bedroom and Bedroom Furniture is a very exciting business area with a mission to reach more of the many people. We have ambitious plans, exciting range and a strong position in people´s minds. We are passionate to inspire the many people in every corner of the globe to store and organise and sleep & relax for a better everyday life.

You are joining Business Area (BA) Bedroom in an exciting time! As a Business Leader for Bedroom HFB5 Beds and Mattresses you will be leading the agenda across the IKEA value chain and develop this business across all IKEA markets. You will be creating the strategy and tactics to anticipate and influence future business and life at home needs. You are leader of the Range & Product team, a member the Management team of the Business area and part of the Business Leader group in IKEA of Sweden.

About the assignment

The Business Leader will lead with the aim of creating growth in this area through:
Overall responsible to lead the defined HFB Bedroom Furniture business (Range, Supply and Meeting the customer)
Lead the creation and execution of the HFB plan  
Member of the management team, contributing to all strategic decisions for the BA
Responsible for leading the work in the Range and Product team, securing portfolio prioritization.
Secure all parts of democratic design, implementation of product development platforms and standardized materials, identify new business opportunities and drive innovations
Lead cross business initiatives together with other HFB:s, functional managers and the matrices
You are based in Älmhult, an inspiring and international environment, endorsed by creativity and innovation.

We develop and supply IKEA with customer friendly component solutions for better products – and better homes. This includes a responsibility for selected components and raw material, which means develop, purchase and supply to IKEA suppliers. IKEA Components also have the assignment to provide After Sales service of components to the end customers. Our business is global and today employs 1400 people based mainly in Sweden, Slovakia, and China.

By taking over the responsibility for IKEA Retail Equipment we are on a journey towards taking our assignment to the next step, creating a new IKEA business that is even more affordable, accessible, and sustainable. The retail equipment range is an important part of the IKEA identity. It supports presenting, selling, and handling of the IKEA product range, strengthens the IKEA Brand and helps visitors enjoy the full IKEA experience.
