Backend Developer to HomeQ

About HomeQ

HomeQ started in 2015 by four driven students from the engineering program at Linköping University. Their idea was to build the next generation digital platform between real estate companies and people. The company currently has two customer segments; property companies and apartment seekers. For real estate companies, HomeQ is building the first software in the world for autonomous apartment rentals. For the apartment seeker, the HomeQ website is where you can easily find, apply and sign first hand contracts for available rental rights at several real estate companies. No matter where you live, where you move or which landlord you want, you only need to register, search and leave interest all in one place. The goal is to build the next generations digital interfaces between real estate companies and people and tie together Sweden's fragmented firsthand market.

The company successfully closed its first round of financing this autumn. HomeQ started in Linköping and today the website has been launched in six cities and have more then 15,000 members (user growth of 1000% on an annual basis). In March 2018 they will be relocating to Solna Business Park. 

About the role

As a Backend Developer at HomeQ, you will work in a team of four people where you will take a leading role for the whole team. You will take part in developing an automated and complex platform generating a great deal of data that needs to be analyzed. This platform needs to be under new development as the company grows. The company is building a new platform on top of several different services and has to work in several different IT environments at the same time. That is why HomeQ have to be constantly open minded responsive to their customers' needs.

About you

To succeed in this role we believe you have worked for about two years with Backend Development or Fullstack, mainly using Python with Django as framework. As a person you are driven and a fast learner of new techniques. You are a team player with leadership qualities. HomeQ would like for you to bring your own inputs and ideas with the mindset to improve the platform.  To thrive in Team HomeQ, they believe that you as a person are communicative and prestigious and like to be a part of a startup. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
