Bioanalytical chemist for the Swedish Doping Control Laboratory

We offer 
A unique position as bioanalytical chemist and certifying scientist at the Swedish Doping Control Laboratory, one of the 32 laboratories accredited by World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to conduct doping analysis on athlete samples. The laboratory is situated at the Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge, south of Stockholm. The laboratory is part of the Clinical Pharmacology department and has two sister laboratories, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Drugs of Abuse laboratory. In total, we are 70 employees in the laboratories combined.  
 
About the position 
The responsibilities will be to secure the daily flux of routine samples, method development, validation and method responsibility. This includes strong knowledge about instruments and software. This position is mainly in the gas chromatography/mass spectrometry section of the Doping Control Laboratory and includes: screening and confirmation using GC-MS/MS and GC-C-IRMS. There are great research possibilities for the right candidate. Working hours are weekdays from 8:00-16:30 with some flexibility. 
 
We are looking for 
A highly motivated chemist that understands the meaning of being “service-minded” and, as a person also diligent, meticulous, and able to solve problems. We value flexibility and the ability to prioritize, as well as social skills and the ability to work individually and, in a group. 
 
Qualifications 
We are looking for an analytical chemist with a Master of Science degree. A Doctor's degree in a relevant field is considered an asset, but not a requirement. You should be well-oriented in the field of bioanalysis and the use of chromatography and mass spectrometry. Previous work with GC-MS and GC-C-IRMS is considered a merit.
