Consulting Services (CS) within Volvo Group Process & IT is a new organization, responsible for managing the demand and supply of Business Consulting, Business Project Management and Management consulting within the Volvo Group. The one-stop-shop approach for consulting makes it easy for the Truck Divisions/Business Areas/Corporate Functions to get the right competence at the right time; from management consultants, business consultants to business project managers. By handling demand in a common way Consulting Services connect and prioritize the needs in line with the Volvo Group overall strategy. We make sure to have the competence needed tomorrow by translating our long term ambitions into competence needs and development activities for the individual

The mission of the unit is to provide cutting edge consulting services in line with the Volvo Group Strategy and continuously develop a pool of talents for Volvo Group.

Business consultant for the Business Consulting group
Consulting Services is looking for a customer oriented business consultant to develop and deliver new soft offering services in the business consulting function within CS. The function supports our customers (both external & internal) with various consulting services; like market & customer surveys, business strategy support, business case simulation and process management.

You will be part of the business consulting global team and report to the manager of the Business Consulting. The role will interact closely with CS?s sales functions and solution managers globally.

Main responsibilities
- Act as business consultant / business analyst
- Support development of processes, other working methods and competence building
- Other activities to be defined based on recruited personal profile
- Best practice sharing and external benchmarking
- Secure good networks and interfaces with relevant functions within VGT, Volvo Group and externally

General profile:
The consultant needs to have the ability to work under demanding and changing conditions. A successful applicant must also be able to work in a matrix organization with global functional responsibilities and customer team responsibilities where it is essential to actively cooperate in a way that bridges gaps that are inevitable in every matrix organization.

This position requires:
- A university degree (engineering and/or economics)
- Experience from positions in a global environment
- Business consulting development experience incl. workshop skills
- Process knowledge ? automotive industry as well as commercial vehicle operation is preferable
- Sales experience
- An agile mindset
- Have capacity to execute against set targets and a ?can do? attitude
- Customer business knowledge - build, develop, and grow any business relationships
- Good planning skills
- Fluent in English - both written and spoken
