Business Controller

We are looking for a driven senior business controller who will work from our office in Stockholm. The controlling function consists of three controllers, one based in Stockholm and two based in Gothenburg. You will be part of a Scandinavian Finance team and report to the CFO who is based in Stockholm.

You will be responsible for financial planning and analysis for the Swedish entity within Norstedts Juridik Scandinavia. Responsibilities include mid and short term planning of revenues, margins and operating expenses. We expect you to be a strong financial partner with close cooperation with other departments.

Key responsibilities

- Preparation of management reporting, analysis of variances, recommendations for business area leaders on performance versus forecast and plan.
- Lead the preparation of budgets. This may involve coordinating and consolidating budget information from other Scandinavian locations, with focus on all aspects of income statement, balance sheet, headcount reporting and cash-flow reporting as well as other key statistics.
- Analysis of forecasting information received and evaluate the risk profile thereof.
- Profitability and cost analysis.
- Assist in the development and continues improvement of a monthly European reporting package.
- Timely and reliable (monthly) reporting, accurate analysis and comments.
- Work in close collaboration with the business and the CFO with focus on
analysis, understanding and explaining the numbers and driving action to support the business.
- Set up structures in SAP R/3 that enable better financial analysis, coordination with internal royalty program to ensure good forecasting information.
- Participate in Scandinavian and European projects.
- Ad-hoc analysis

Personal profile
- Master Degree in Finance/Economics.
- Relevant experience of at least 7 years in financial analysis/controlling/audit.
- Strong communicator and collaborator, with a commercial mindset who enjoys working in a multinational environment
- Engaged and positive, with a problem solving attitude
- Excellent analytical skills and accounting knowledge.
- Pro-active, result-driven and flexible.
- Systems and IT-minded. Previous experience of of SAP R/3 (FI and CO modules) is a great advantage. Advanced Excel user.
- Fluent in and Swedish and English.

This is a full-time position. The first 6 months will be a probationary period.
