The Site in Strängnäs, is a Biological drug substance site currently employing approximately 200 people. It is located about 70 kilometers south west of Stockholm on the shores of Lake Mälaren. The Strängnäs site has been involved in the production of Biotechnology products for approximately 25 years and currently produces Genotropin, Fragmin and Somavert proteins.
The Director/Team Leader will be responsible for business development oversight, planning supply oversight for the different production flows, Operational Excellence and lean implementation including change management, cross-functional business processes, balance scorecard (BSC) and key performance indicators (KPIs)

The Director's duties also include implementation of practices to improve site performance, supporting the whole site in the utilisation of the Right First Time (RFT), lean and six-sigma programs. The role requires networking skills and ability to utilize knowledge, experience and network connections to facilitate decisions at both the tactical and strategic level.
The role will be reporting to the Site Leader, a part of the site leadership team and will be accountable for approximately 15 site colleagues.

Main areas of responsibility:
- Providing effective and responsive business support to operations while ensuring superior performance in all aspects of the Pfizer business objectives.
- Deliver new business development opportunities securing long term business and establish a service model supporting the needs of site and customers.
- Champion a culture where colleagues feel valued and developed by creating open and trusting working relationships in a cross functional environment.
- Support end to end business processes to strengthen cross-functional work, customer and product focus.
- Develop and sustain an environment of continuous improvement through active implementation of corporate initiatives, Right First Time principles, lean manufacturing and six-sigma methods.
- Support preparation of budgets and forecasts for capital, resources and key business performance indicators. Maintain effective systems for cost control.
- Participate in all relevant Pfizer activities within areas of responsibility.

- Report metrics associated with the site processes to internal and external stakeholders
- Support development and implementation of site engineering strategy

Knowledge or Experience Required:
- Master of Science / Business degree or equivalent is preferred
- Relevant experience in a leadership capacity in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a biologics manufacturing environment would be an advantage
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in Swedish and English
- Proficiency in Swedish preferred
- Demonstrated cross functional Leadership and networking skills.
- Experience using and implementing RFT, lean principles and six-sigma programs
- Strong understanding of business development and supporting business processes
