CAE Engineer HIL - Active Safety

The section Active Safety CAE supports Active Safety development by means of computational analysis and simulation. This is done either virtually in a computer environment or semi-virtual in a Hardware-In-the-Loop environment (HIL). As CAE Engineer HIL within Active Safety CAE you provide expertise and supports test engineers.
Hardware-In-the-Loop simulation technique, in the borderland between virtual and physical testing, offer exciting opportunities to be involved in car development using a broad spectrum of engineering disciplines. The area is growing and has unlimited potential for further development because it gets more and more important for vehicle development in general and for active safety functions in specific. An engineer with the right competence, attitude and driving force is going to be supported to develop himself and his ideas.

Main responsibilities
· Create HIL environment for testing Active Safety functions
· Support test engineers to perform tests
· Perform test (failsafe, diagnostics, functional) and analyse test results
· Implement models in Matlab/Simulink
· Perform software testing on component and function level
· Integrate hardware with vehicle simulator
· Participate in project meetings and report test results to management.

Required qualifications
· M.Sc. in: Mechatronics, Electrical engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechanical engineering
· Document experience in real time systems, modeling in Matlab and /or Simulink
· Fluent in English (written and spoken)
· Driver´s license
· Meritorious: Signal processing, network communication(Flexray, CAN, Ethernet), brake system, real time simulation (dSpace), electrical systems, HIL experience

Personal qualities
· Very good logical ability
· Strong in performance
· Excellent cooperation skills
