Objectives:

The Category Analyst provides ongoing, proactive support to the Product Line.

Key Responsbilites:

Category Management:

-Manage the category's model catalogue by translating project targets into range structures and detailed product specifications
-Ensure regular information sharing with key stakeholders for updates of new products/projects, aligning on all the project's deliverables across functions.
-Ensure implementation & sharing of product specification documents in corresponding systems
-Liaise with cluster product line managers to assess the different product specifications, ranging needs and successful execution within the range management process
-Liaise with central marketing to secure the timely preparation and execution of product related marketing materials - in particular factory fit POS
-Liaise with the cluster PL Managers to organise smooth phase in / out of old and new products
-Support defining and implement ramp-up plans, including start of production and sample requirements.
-Contribute to product cost outs related activities
-Introduction and coordination of changes/ modifications/updates according to product requirements
-Conduct continuous process improvements in liaison with product maintenance, quality, supply and purchasing departments to build recommendations to the factory
-Track progress of the product production

Controlling:
-Continuous optimization (automation, standardization, timeliness, data quality) of the product line management reporting.
-Reporting and follow-up on key PL financials through budget and seasonal target variance analysis
-Monthly and quarterly analysis aimed at improving business
-Support the Strategic Planning process for the Product Line
-Support the development of the Product Line generation plan
-Work closely with the Finance teams in the Sector, Industrial Operations, R&D, Marketing, Sales and the Pricing Office to ensure best financial information flow and delivery of the targets
-Product Life Cycle revenue management
-Driving continuous range optimization in terms of profitability, revenue and complexity.

Competences needed:
-University degree in economics/finance/controlling/marketing
-Very good MS Office (especially Excel) knowledge, SAP knowledge an advantage
-Ability to meet deadlines
-Experience of working within a multicultural, international environment
-A team player
-Highly numerate, well-organized and a strong eye for detail
-Able to work independently and have a hands-on approach

Minimum Requirements:
-Well structured, able to plan and prioritize
-Good communication skills
-Preferably some experience working with in a cross functional multinational team
