The position:
We are looking to strengthen our global procurement installation team; supporting our tenders and projects with a Category Manager in the area of both Offshore and Onshore Installation Services. As a Category Manager you will play a key-role in establishing subcontracting strategies that are in line with our overall company strategy and are executable in our projects.
You will support our projects with expert knowledge in the individual sub-categories; market outlook, make or buy, trends, pricing, commercial and legal terms, risks and opportunity´s. Effectively, you will be the partner to the business on sourcing solutions within your category, having the full end-to-end responsibility.
You will be building up a sustainable contractor pipeline; identifying new suppliers, equipment, trends and end customer demands which should result in a list of qualified suppliers that we are ready to work with. As a Category Manager you are responsible for developing long term relations with our key suppliers, leading to innovative contract models, following and creating new market trends, lessons learned and continuous improvement.
This position could be located either in Karlskrona or Malmö (Sweden), Rotterdam (The Netherlands) or in Teeside (UK). Regular travels, both domestic and international, is required. You will report to the Director of Project Procurement.
You will be working with:
• Supplier Relationship Management including supplier ownership
• Category strategy; Market analysis, trends, demand, solution, innovation, footprint, suppliers, etc.
• Finding and screening of new suppliers
• Go to Market, RFQ, clarification, evaluation, negotiation and contracting
Your background:
• M.Sc. degree in business, engineering, economics or similar
• To be successful in this role we see that you have worked some years in procurement with category management or have experience from the related categories of installation. Experience from construction, civil or offshore works is strongly meriting
• Fluent English skills both verbally and in writing

You are driven and you define your own agenda in collaboration with colleagues and partners around you. In your way of working, you are unpretentious and responsive but also clear in your communication. This is a high-profile role with broad exposure to the organization at all levels.
