Chassis & Powertrain CAE Engineer – FEA

CEVT is using CAE as an integrated part of product development and verification of strength and durability of chassis and powertrain systems.  Joining our Chassis & Powertrain CAE team is a unique opportunity to be in the forefront of simulation driven development, using and developing cutting edge tools and methods while collaborating with the best engineers in the field.  Typical work tasks are to simulate and analyze road load data, build FEA models, method development, and actively participate in ongoing vehicle development programs.  Communication with our Chinese team members will also be a part of the job as some of the analysis work for these components is carried out in CEVT China. We mainly use Nastran, Marc, Abaqus, nCode, Matlab, HEEDS, Excel and Python in daily FEA work.

Responsibilities and tasks
• Prepare and run component and system FEA models, analyse results and explain to attribute leaders, system managers and project management.
• Perform multi-objective performance balancing, sensitivity studies and optimization using HEEDS MDO and/or topology optimization tools.
• Develop methods to enhance both predictive capability and turnaround time.
• Communicate results and design development proposals with attribute, validation and design engineers.
• Contribute to develop Chassis & Powertrain CAE-team efficiency

Profile and Background
• M.Sc. Mech Eng, or similar.
• Experience from similar work tasks within the automotive area.
• Experience of performing and documenting advanced calculations and analysis.
• Ability to work in cross functional and international teams.
• Ability to communicate results clearly both verbally and in writing to project stakeholders in English.
• Experience of Nastran, Abaqus, Marc, optimization.
• Understanding of the function of vehicle suspension, elastomer mounts, dampers, springs, tires on both component and full vehicle level.
• Excellent personal drive and ability to appreciate fast paced work environment. 
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Basic knowledge in Swedish.
• Knowledge in Chinese (Mandarin) is a merit.
