In the Volvo Construction Equipment, AE & Core organization we are motivated by the purpose to develop world leading solutions that can be shared in an efficient way between different products. The construction business is rapidly changing towards new sustainable and efficient solutions within areas such as automation, electromobility and connectivity. The Driveline & Electromobility function has a major role in this technology shift.
If you are a result oriented project manager leader with good engineering knowledge and extensive experience from project management, motivated by delivering results and creating strong teams, then you are probably the person we are looking for to join our team as Chief Project manager!
The department Driveline System & Projects is responsible for managing projects and technical development as well as R&D both for conventional and electric drivelines. We develop both HW and SW for complete drivelines including Transmission and Axles. We work with the complete development cycle from AE to final product on the market. We are now looking for an experienced Chief Project Manager to join our team and drive the development of our future electromobility products.
Main activities and Responsibilities:
As a Chief Project Manager in Driveline & Electromobility, D&E, your main responsibilities include leading the cross functional project team, stakeholder management and support in developing our way of working. The end goal is to deliver a complete driveline solution that is industrialised in one of our machines. Your responsibility stretches from idea to final product.
Experience from agile product development, running projects in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and a genuine interest in project management is required. PMI certification is a bonus but not required.
It is also crucial to have good interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relations to other Volvo entities and functions.
A holistic and methodical mindset focusing on continuous improvement in all activities is also required.
Required knowledge, experience:
Engineering degree in a relevant knowledge area
Experience from Project management for in-house development and manufacturing
Good leadership abilities
Experience from leading complex projects in a complex setting
Driveline product knowledge
Good social and communication skills verbally and written
Fluency in English
