Chief Project Manager

Volvo Construction Equipment, a business area within the Volvo Group, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of construction equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, articulated haulers, road development equipment and compact equipment. Production facilities are located in Europe, Asia, North America and Latin America. The CPM will be assigned to work with Wheel Loader Projects and will report to the Regional Project Director. The operational work is carried out in accordance with the Global Development Process together with colleagues from Product Planning, R&D, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, Marketing and After Market Core Responsibilities: The CPM is responsible to manage the project from Feasibility phase, through pre-study, concept, development, industrialization and commercialization until follow-up phase. The projects deliver new or updated Wheel Loaders meeting defined targets regarding features, quality and cost within defined time frames. Besides the operational work managing the project, the CPM is assumed to actively participate in continous improvement initiatives aiming to increase efficiency within the PPD-process (Product Portfolio Development). Required Competencies In order to assume a position as CPM, the candidate need to have: . experience from Product Development within the Automotive Industry . strong proven leadership capabilities . business driven approach and a holistic view . structural and analytical approach . continous drive for improvements . experience from management positions . positive attitude with a great sense of humour
