The Swedish Committee for Afghanistan is looking for Civil Society Coordinator Posted at Kabul Management Office, Kabul, Afghanistan The Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA) is a non-governmental humanitarian organisation working with aid to Afghanistan since 1982, mainly with support to the education, health and disability sectors.Since operations began in the early 1980s, emergency aid has gradually evolved into long-term development programmes.With over 5 500 staff, SCA is one of the largest non-governmental organisations in the country.Through its activities, SCA aims at fighting poverty, supporting economic and social development and strengthening democratic development and gender & human rights.Scope of Work Directly responsible to the Director of Policy and Quality Assurance.The Civil Society Coordinator manages SCA?s CS-unit and its two funding schemes for capacity developing support to Afghan CSOs.She/he reviews, assesses, evaluates and monitors SCA?s CS-support and provides SCA?s programmes, within the fields of health, education, disability and rural development, with training, advises and technical backstopping.The post-holder will develop results- and rights-oriented strategies, proposals, budgets and reports and design and mainstream policies, methods and tools for capacity developing support to CSOs.Furthermore she/he will contribute to the development of Afghan CS networks, represent SCA in international and national coordinating forums and liaise with relevant authorities, donors and CSOs.Entry Requirements Qualifications: - Master Degree, or equivalent, in relevant professional field.
