Our Nordic & Baltic head office is placed in Gothenburg. Maersk Sverige AB is currently looking for a Claims, HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) & Compliance Coordiantor for the Legal and Regulatory department.The department serves the Nordic and Baltic Area as well as Russia and is divided into the following sections: - Marine Claims and Legal matters - Health & Safety - Environmental issues - Security - Compliance For the right candidate, the position offers an opportunity to learn and to work with several important fields of the Shipping industry and to develop as a professional.Reporting to the Claims manager in the Legal and Regulatory department, the coordinator will be have following specific responsibilities: Claims: - Handle cargo claims for Maersk Line, Safmarine, Maersk Logistics and DAMCO - Assist in designing and conducting Claims/documentation seminars for our staff, spreading the awareness of which laws and conventions govern our activities and how to comply with them, always with a preventive mindset Health/Safety: - Assist with the implementation, upkeep and improvement of Health & Safety routines - Identify and implement best practices - Support and assist all offices and departments in Health & Safety initiatives - Ensure compliance with all local Health & Safety laws and regulations Environment: - Assist in maintaining ISO 14001certification - Keep abreast of Environmental trends, reports, customer demands etc., all with the aim to offer safe workplaces and promote clean conduct Security: - Assist in maintaining the worldwide Maersk Security program (MSP) aimed at providing security for employees, customers, associates and assets on shore Compliance: - Assist in ensuring strict compliance with EU and other competition laws at all times General requirements: - Team-minded - Enthusiastic - Self-going, curious and analytical - Up-to-date skills in computer systems - Willingness to travel and to assume own projects - Good command of English and a Scandinavian language, both verbally and in written form - Knowledge of Russian language is seen as an advantage We envision an applicant with a degree in maritime law or similar, knowledge of Competition and/or environmental law, alternatively with ample experience in shipping and the laws and conventions surrounding the industry.
