Thermal Management is a department within Vehicle Technology responsible for the development, delivery, and maintenance of optimized cabin climate and vehicle cooling & heating systems for all types of propulsion installations across all truck brands within the Group. They lead global efforts in strategy and advanced engineering, with locations in Gothenburg and Bangalore. Their close collaboration extends to sites in Greensboro and Lyon. The work is based on innovation, shared technology, common architecture, and brand uniqueness.

We are currently seeking an engineer to join the Refrigerant & Cab Air Distribution system team, specializing in the development of climate unit and related components such as sensors.

In this role you will:
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts for the development of new technologies and maintenance within your area.
• Be responsible for planning, leading, and ensuring the quality of component development across various stages of the product lifecycle.
• Take the lead in collaborating with development suppliers and coordinating work within a cross-functional team, alongside global colleagues.
• Design documentation is produced using Kola and PDMLink.
• Given the focus on mechatronic components within this team, a solid understanding of software (SW) and electronics is important.

About you

• Academic degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
• Prior experience in Automotive Climate and Cooling system and components development OR experience working with complex components alongside development suppliers in other technical domains.
• Knowledge of Electrical Hardware (HW).
• Knowledge and understanding of software (SW) is considered a merit.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in English.
