Competition is increasing across all FMCG channels as different channels and models evolve, such as online, shop-in-shop, etc. Retailers expect better service, better prices, and product variety from their suppliers. Wholesale with a strong and differentiated portfolio, superior service, and good customer understanding are critical for sales and profit growth.
Our wholesale operations are highly automated/integrated, our operations are designed to ensure high customer satisfaction with a special focus on ethnic food availability from Turkey, Greece, the Middle East, and Africa. With over 7 years of experience in the region, we understand what our customers and their shoppers expect to see on the shelf. Our vision is to continue our growth both organically and inorganically. To achieve our growth ambitions, we want to increase the number of customers and also get a bigger share of the purchase budget of our retail customers.
We are looking for a driven Commercial (Sales and Marketing) Director for our operations who will lead from strategy to execution of our marketing/sales efforts and Stockholm area expansion. In this role, you will be tasked with developing and implementing marketing strategies aimed at driving revenue growth and customer acquisition. Your responsibilities will include overseeing new portfolio expansion from Turkey, leading sales and marketing activities, and operational expansion into the Stockholm area, which has the highest potential from a retail consumption perspective. This is a full/part-time, permanent position offering competitive compensation and benefits.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
Understand the business needs of retail partners and the role of ethnic consumers and their priorities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create integrated marketing campaigns, including cross-sell initiatives, current customer communications and upsell programs.
Generate sales pipeline through new customer acquisition and targeted campaigns, lead nurturing programs, demand generation, seasonal events/tradeshows, and engaging content.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the retail industry.
Build sourcing strategies for new ethnic portfolio from Turkey, Middle East & Africa (outside Sweden markets)
Develop 5-year strategic business plan focusing on expansion opportunities across Nordics.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field.
Experience from FMCG/Retail Categories across the Nordic region.
Experience from Turkey, Middle East and Africa on selling and marketing FMCG/Retail categories.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are a must, and speaking and understanding Swedish and / or Turkish is a plus.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools.
Strong understanding of marketing metrics, analytics, and ability to analyze and optimize campaigns.
Experience producing multi-channel marketing plans to drive demand and build a sales pipeline.
Location: Sweden remote / hybrid.
