As a Procurement Category Partner at AstraZeneca your work tasks include;

• provide sourcing expertise and support development of sourcing plan to evaluate outsourcing opportunities to ensure that they deliver the expected business value in accordance with the strategic sourcing plan,
• work with global business teams to define the scope of outsourcing initiatives, helping the business to describe the extent of outsourcing, the expectations on the supplier and the service standard required.
• evaluate competitive bids for outsourcing initiatives together with colleagues, contribute to the development and implementation of operational plans to achieve outsourcing strategy objectives.
• ensure procurement processes and supplier management are implemented in line with identified policies, procedures and standards, to achieve agreed scope.
To reach valuable solutions you will be working close with internal leaders, project team members, finance department, procurement department and external suppliers/agencies.

Requirements:
Degree or equivalent professional qualification, oral and written fluency in Business English, ability to leverage a range of influencing techniques, professional procurement qualification, procurement or process management experience, understanding of the deliverables and processes, supplier management experience and proven ability to manage change.

Furthermore, you need strong analytical skills, knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, proven ability to work with business to scope outsourcing initiatives to enable effective decisions. You will also need good communication skills, have the ability to influence others and build strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues to reach objectives.
