Born in 2014 by Creative Director, Max Svärdh and CEO, Albin Johansson, Axel Arigato is a Sweden based contemporary brand that started from an Instagram page and an idea to break into the footwear market.

With deep roots in music, art, architecture and what is contemporary, Axel Arigato has defined itself by offering more than a product. It has been created to leave an experience at the front of mind, whether it’s via stores, online or through events.

Axel Arigato currently has 8 stores, including London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Munich & Paris with more pending. Expanding from 2 people to now hiring over 100 members of staff in 7 years, Axel Arigato also operates a subsidiary office in London.

Compensation & Benefits Manager

We are thrilled to be looking for our first Compensation and Benefits Manager to help us in our rapid expansion phase-we continue to structure & build our People & Culture organization across our multiple markets.

Reporting to our Director of People, Culture and Diversity, you will lead a team of two. You will have the opportunity to drive our global compensation and benefit programs to attract, motivate and retain our most important assets-our people.

We are here to find our first Compensation and Benefits Manager to help us structure up and continue to build our People & Culture organization across our multiple markets. We seek someone with experience in the comp & ben field who is self-driven, structured, and adaptable enough to work in an ever changing environment and industry. This is a great opportunity to step into a managerial role with your payroll and/or HR background.

You come with the energy and curiosity to match a growth phase start-up, and the experience within your field and stakeholder management to guide us. We see you as being able to:

• Manage the Comp and Ben department-consisting of two payroll specialists based in the HQ in Gothenburg and be overall responsible for overseeing our payroll globally
• Balance salaries and bonuses internally with respect to various countries and set up a strategy both for store personnel, office personnel and various organizational levels.
• Design and implement a compensation structure across the organization
• Conduct data analysis and generate meaningful insights to drive pay decisions and program design
• Research and benchmark local compensation market data prior to us opening new offices/stores related to legal requirements when setting up contacts with HR/payroll partners in new countries
• Plan, implement and follow up yearly salary overview (lönekartläggning) and salary review from a-z and giving workshops and being first point of contact for managers.
• Develop strategies and tactics of all insurances related and occupational health care to employees in all our countries and be the point of contact with various insurance companies.
