We are expanding and looking for a configuration manager to join our team! This is your opportunity to take part of the thrilling and challenging job to develop and procuce the next generations of naval ships!


Your role

As a configuration manager you will support product development projects (either new building or modification) of submarines and naval surface vessels, with establishing and maintaining the integrity of configuration items and technical data. You can also work in long term contracts for maintenance of vessels for the Swedish Navy with focus to maintain the integrity of product configurations and associated data.

The main tasks are:

* Identify, implement and maintain configuration processes and activities.
* Create and implement configuration management plans in projects and contracts.
* Establish and maintain product baselines.
* Manage configuration control boards.
* Establish configuration status reports.
* Manage delivery of data packages to customers.
* Support project and product management in configuration management related questions with customers and suppliers.
* Guide design departments within research and development in configuration management related processes.



Primarily placement is in Karlskrona, however we migth be open for placement in Malmö.


Your profile

We are looking for a person willing to operate in a challenging environment that requires initiative, drive and motivation. To succeed in the role you need to have a mind for structure and order. You also need to enjoy and have a high ability to cooperate and collaborate with colleagues within the company, suppliers and customers.



Required skills:

* You have worked as a configuration manager or within related areas concerning development projects or maintenance of complex product structures.
* Master or bachelor degree in engineering or other relevant education.
* Relevant experience as a configuration manager or related area such as design or quality engineer.
* Experience of working with PDM/PLM systems.
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written.


Desired skills:

* Knowledge of configuration management processes according to ISO 10007.
* Experience from working with complex product structures.
* Experience in defining and develop PDM/PLM systems.



This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.



What you will be a part of

The Configuration Management department is part of the area Product Engineering within Research and Development. We are represented at our two sites Malmö and Karlskrona and are a smaller dedicated team working with submarines and surface vessels.
