Inter IKEA Systems has successfully established IKEA Tillsammans - our corporate Culture Center in Älmhult. Inter IKEA Culture Center AB (IICCAB) has been established to build up a new public IKEA Museum in the first IKEA Store in Älmhult. Inter IKEA Culture Center AB will operate both the IKEA Museum and IKEA Tillsammans.

ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Conservator who will be part of the team that builds up the IKEA museum. Today there is a small exhibition located in IKEA Tillsammans, "IKEA through the ages" which describes the chronological design and business development of the IKEA business.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT
You are a part of the unit that is responsible for the museum archive and the collection. You collaborate with the exhibition team and serve them in the process of building up exhibits. You will also be the person responsible for the budget.

You will create and implement routines for the collections and archives and take care of the collection in a long lasting perspective and structure it in a database, all in line with our collecting policy.

The collection contains of artefacts that has been in a home of someone. Most of them are from the IKEA range through ages. You prepare artefacts that will be shown in the museum and nurse for documents and products in our present archive.

YOUR PROFILE
You have conservator education focusing on wood and textile and at least a couple of years of experience working within the museum sector and we want you to have experience in serving several exhibitions.

You have good knowledge in structure a collection and to register in a database, we also see that you are good in communication in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.

You are result oriented and well organised and have an open mind for ideas and proposals from other persons and enjoy working in a team. You communicate in an open and straightforward manner and transform feedback into actions.
