Construction Engineer – Mechanical/Piping

We are looking for a dedicated Construction Engineer – Mechanical/Piping to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Construction Team team based in Skellefteå.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supporting the direct supervisor in charge of Process Mechanical works
Checking work procedures, including those relating to special processes prepared by the Contractors
Checking that material and equipment are correctly received, stored, preserved and handled
Checking construction progress weekly, identifying any critical aspects and requesting the necessary actions from the Contractor concerned;
Checking the adequacy of personnel and equipment belonging to the Contractors, promoting any actions required to achieve objectives.
Verifying that works are correctly carried out, in accordance with project documentation, notifying the Discipline Superintendent and/or Engineering of any problems encountered in the field
Ensuring that tests, controls and inspections are carried out in accordance with established schedules
Attending the tests, controls and inspections carried out by the Main Contractors and sub-contractors, checking conformity required by Northvolt specifications, European Directives and National Standards. Special focus on the development of pressure test packages, walk downs, witness pressure acceptance, flushing, blowing and final reinstatement.
Participating in determining corrective actions and then ensuring correct implementation of the activities for resolving cases of nonconformity;
Ensuring, with the support of the Northvolt HSE Team the field control of HSE aspects, also with reference to activities developed by Contractors/Suppliers;
Notifying the direct supervisor of problems and deviations that cannot be settled directly

Full time employment, fixed salary.
