At the moment we are looking for a Contract Engineer to join our Technologies department within our Research and Development organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In this role you will systematically and efficiently manage contract creation, execution and analysis for the purpose of maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing risk. Your tasks will include participating in negotiating the terms and conditions in contracts and ensuring compliance, as well as documenting and agreeing on any changes that may arise during its implementation or execution. Contracts include purchasing agreements, purchase orders and development agreements. Since we are dealing with projects, goods and services that will lead to high-tech products, complex contracts are often necessary.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Driving and preparing routine responses for proposals, bids, and contract modifications. You may also be involved in preparing simple requests for proposals.
* Attending meetings with suppliers and participate in all contractual aspects of projects, including claims, final accounts, variations and contract interpretation.
* Analyzing contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with corporate policies and departmental procedures.
* Drafting and negotiating simple contractual instruments in proportion to your skills.
* Communicating contract policy and practice to internal teams.
* Ensuring contract review, approval and execution in accordance with corporate guidelines.
* Preparing and administrating routine correspondence, writing memoranda, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal.
* Assisting mid- to high-level Line Managers in working with internal teams on issues and development relative to assigned contracts.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an analytical and structured person who easily communicates with other people throughout the organization. Your educational background includes a master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or other relevant area.

We also believe that you have knowledge of corporate policies and procedures, contracting concepts and applicable international contract law. You have the ability to draft simple contractual documents in accordance with prescribed templates and guidelines.
