So, what’s the job all about?
IT has an instrumental and strategic role in our digitalization journey that presently is taking place on all levels of the organization. In this role you lead the communications work for IT, ensuring that there is a strategic communications plan catering for IT’s business priorities. You also support in hands-on execution, with a strong focus on creating excellent communication towards end-users. By using a large variety of communication channels, you create innovative, high-quality, and timely communication. Other areas of responsibility are communications planning, training, crisis communications and event management.
You work in close collaboration with our Sandvik Group CIO and the IT management team, as well as with highly skilled communications professionals. In your daily work you coordinate most of your tasks with the IT organization stakeholders and your fellow Corporate Communications Business Partner towards IT. You report to the Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications and Brand at Sandvik Group Communications.
Where’s the office?
You’re based at Sandvik Headquarters in Stockholm, and presence at our other IT offices in Sweden (Sandviken and Stockholm Gasverket) is frequently required. Some national and international travel may also occur.
Your character
We’re looking for an experienced communicator with a degree in Communication, Journalism or with the corresponding skills and training. You have extensive experience within a similar position and are used to cooperating with different kind of people, both by cultural background and by profession. Your high interest in new technology is a given – you master many collaboration tools and learn to use new systems swiftly and easily. At Sandvik, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint and Teams are essential platforms for how we communicate and collaborate. Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English and Swedish are required.
We’re genuinely interested in your collaborative and easy-going mindset as well as your curious attitude for finding new and smarter ways to communicate. You have a strategic mindset, and at the same time, you’re an operational doer who stays focused on creating results in times of multiple parallel assignments and deadlines just around the corner. In addition, you have the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and you easily adjust your approach to suit the audience.
