About the position:

My customer, BSAB, is now looking for a CTO that will manage the Technical department and be a part of the management team. This responsibility includes ensuring that BSAB has outstanding technical solutions and products within decided R&D cost and time frames. This in order to make sure that BSAB in a unique way can help people with functional problems to a better life. You will have personnel, budget and project responsibility and report to the CEO.

Main areas of responsibility:

- Responsible for stimulating the process of new product ideas, systemize and document them and suggest priorities for technical pre-studies.
- Responsible for support Business Unit managers in conducting technical pre-studies and, when applicable, in making feasibility studies.
- Responsible for Supporting Business Unit managers with the technical documentation needed to present an accurate and reliable investment proposal to CEO / Board of Directors.
- Responsible for suggesting the optimized/correct priorities seen from a holistic perspective to CEO and the Business Unit managers.
- Responsible for managing the R&D projects and the R&D team. Ensure that the R&D process is consciously improved.
- Responsible for managing and developing the production capacity, mainly in Asia, to ensure that BSAB will have the right partners from a technical, commercial and ethical perspective.
- Responsible for the Production which includes managing and developing the production capacity in mainly in Asia to ensure that BSAB have the right partners from a technical, commercial and ethical perspective.
- Managing the production quality system and inspections.
- Responsible for technical after sales service.
- Ensure that the Technical organization is correctly managed and staffed in terms of number of staff as well as their competence, experience, motivation, commitment etc.

Working experience:

10+ years of experience from working as an engineer (HW and SW), including:

- Experience from working closely with the market and customers to understand and suggest product & system requirements.
- Experience from benchmarking and evaluating various technologies of interest and evaluation of competitor products.
- 5+ years of extensive and documented successful experience from Project management of R&D projects (electronic consumer products or medical devices with embedded software).
- 5+ years of extensive and documented successful experience from managing a Technical team.

M.Sc.E.E. or similar.
