Customs Specialist/Developer

Group Trucks Operations encompasses all production of the Group's engines and transmissions as well as all production of Volvo, Renault, Mack and UD trucks. Group Trucks Operations also includes spare parts supplies to the Group's customers as well as logistics. We also serve Volvo CE, Volvo Buses and Volvo Penta.

Volvo Group Logistics Services has Customs functions world wide. We are now looking for an employee for the Customs & Trade Governance EMEA function in Gothenburg. This is a full-time position with location in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The position:
The open position is of a more advanced character and we are looking for a person with a broad and well documented knowledge within the customs field. Your daily responsibilities will be the link between people in the different countries for Volvo Group Companies within EU, Middle East and Africa. Also other customs tasks like HTS-classification, bonded warehouse handling, licences and part of projects etc. will be part of your work.

You will work closely with other departments and also have contact with suppliers and forwarders as well as the different Customs authorities in the region. You will also take part in a working group engaged in constantly improving the quality of present solutions at the department.

The position will also include a customs development responsibility in co-operation with one or more of our colleagues and partners.

Qualifications:
- High-level Customs education, and/or -
- 5 years' experience from working with Customs issues
- Former employment at the Swedish Customs authorities or an agent is considered a merit.

Knowledge within:
- The AEO program or similar
- The current EU-regulations
- Deep knowledge about rules and regulations related to customs and international trade
- The current and future regulations where Volvo Group are present
- HTS-Classification
- FTA and knowledge within Country of Origin solicitation
- Speaking Swedish and English fluently is a demand, additional language is a merit.
