Data Analyst within Electromobility

We are currently looking for Data Analyst to join our fantastic team working on system simulation and data analytics of Electromobility solutions.

What do we do?
We are the Virtual Product Development and Digital Services team within Electromobility, a dynamic section providing world-class solutions for Electromobility systems and delivering customer values for Volvo business units such as trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine applications.


Electromobility is one of the main development areas within Volvo Group and was created to be in the forefront of zero emission transport solutions for a more sustainable tomorrow.

What will you do?
You along with the team are responsible for supporting the complete Electromobility organization with Data Analytics for product development and product evolution, using both historical data and prediction models. As Data Analyst one of the most important tasks is to communicate your findings and spread the knowledge. You constantly loop your work in the organization to make sure the analysis brings value to stakeholders and is a solid base for decision making. In this role you will also cover data collection and data quality as this is an important part of the foundation to all Data Analytics and Data Science.


Who are you?
To be successful in the position, you are a team player and have strong experience in the analysis area. You have automotive or electrical system development experience working in cross-functional teams. Good stakeholder management and communication skills is something that you have as well as an analytical way of thinking. You have great Data visualizing skills, and you are curious and have willingness to learn. You take accountability, responsibility, and ownership over technology and you contribute to the team with a can-do attitude.


Requirements:
University degree in Engineering (Computer science, Electrical sciences, Physical sciences, Statistics) or equivalent
A background in data analytics with at least 5 years of applicable experience
Experience working with Python and PowerBi
Experience in Data Management, Data collection and data preparations
Fluent in English - verbal and written



Meritorious:
Knowledge about data communication, telematics and truck services
Vehicle system (Embedded SW) knowledge
Knowledge of truck and bus applications
Experience of working with the charging area
