We are now looking to recruit an Engineering manager to expand Development team and our team of design engineering professionals.
The position is located in Kista, Stockholm, Sweden. You will report to the Director of Design and Engineering.
About the job
atNorth is looking to add a person to its development function. The function is responsible for project lead, site development and design engineering, it is a multinational team.
This position requires documented deep experience and skills from the data center industry, minimum 5-10 years.
Main areas of responsibilities
In collaboration with the Development team and Director of Design & Engineering, designing data center (building, data halls, facility security), physical building, environment and infrastructure design of the site.
You are responsible for assigned designed or engineering tasks on a project basis as well as analyse and evaluate new technical opportunities for suitability to meet the business objectives of the proposed facilities.
Evaluation of preferred equipment suppliers for development of current and new sites as well as evaluation of preferred consultants and professional organizations to assist with execution or design solution.
Ensure technical project directives follow good practice guidelines and are fully risk assessed for operational suitability.
Collaborate with the Development team members to achieve the site development growth strategy. You will also communicate and collaborate with other team members and report to management, external partners, stakeholders, within area of responsibility and develop relationships with business partners and suppliers to secure growth projects.
Ensure compliance with Business Financial approval protocols and report on proposed expenditure within own area of responsibility.
Responsible for researching and analyzing new technologies, materials, construction methods, and environmental opportunities to reduce sustainable impact. You will also be responsible for continuous improvements within own area of responsibility.
Manage and supervise consultant within Design and Engineering.
